BASE vs MAX vs TAA — what's the difference?
All three share the same CPU, the same 512 GB NVMe SSD and the same port layout — the differences are memory, power redundancy and supply chain. TAA stands for the US Trade Agreements Act: the TAA build is assembled in the USA for organisations whose contracts require a certified supply chain (typically US-linked government or defence work). Most UK buyers want BASE or MAX.

💡 Our advice: in a rack where uptime matters, the MAX's dual hot-swap PSUs are the headline — a power supply failure becomes a maintenance job instead of an outage. Choose TAA only if your contracts require it.
